Importantly, despite signs of pancreatic necrosis, no necrosectomy was performed because the patient was treated for hemorrhagic complications instead of the pancreatitis. Indeed, necrosectomy isn’t recommended within the early phase of the disease and thus, the maximal procedure recommended for this patient by percutaneous abscess drainage.
