About the Study

Technical education plays an important role in national human resource development by creating a skilled workforce, increasing industrial productivity and improving people's quality of life. Technology education includes programs in engineering, technology, management, architecture, city planning, pharmacies, applied arts and crafts, hotel management and catering technology.

The inspiration for the creation of the Technical Training Center comes from the British ruler of India, which stems from the need to train supervisors, craftsmen and craftsmen on the construction and maintenance of public buildings, roads, canals and ports. Equipment and equipment required for the Army, Navy and surveying stations. The chief engineer was hired from Cooper's Hill University, mainly from the United Kingdom, as did the foreman and craftsmen. However, this was not possible with locally hired craftsmen and subordinate supervisors. They were inefficient because they could hardly read or write. The need to make them more efficient by giving them rudimentary instruction in literacy, math, geometry and mechanics led to the establishment of industrial schools attached to weapons factories and other engineering facilities.

The first technical college in India was founded in Uttar Pradesh in 1847 to train civil engineers in Roorkee and used the large workshops and public buildings built there for the Upper Ganges Canal. Roorkee College (or officially known as Thomason Engineering College) was not affiliated with the university, but was awarded a diploma that was considered equivalent to a degree. According to government policy, by about 1856 three technical colleges had been opened to three presidents. A university called the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Calcutta was opened in November 1856 in the building of a Bengali writer. The name was changed to BengalEngineering College in 1857 and partnered with the University of Calcutta. There was a civil engineering license course. In 1865 it merged with the University of Presidency. Then, in 1880, it was separated from Presidency College and moved to now the site of Sibupur, occupying the site and building of Bishop College.

Technical education can meet the growing needs of an expanding society and fulfill its growing requirements. Industries, mechanized systems and scientific research centers around the world demonstrate that our connection to the past is broken and that instead of bare hands, we have to use machines technological machinery and equipment for the development and regeneration of human society. So there is a huge need for technical education in the modern era.

Technical education is essential to make a significant contribution to the economic growth of developing countries through the production of human resources appropriate to the needs of industry, society and the global world in the site. Creating a fully skilled workforce capable technicians in today's science and technology era is the need of the times.

Technical education includes degree and diploma courses and programs in engineering and technology, management, architecture, urban planning, pharmacy and applied arts and crafts, guest management hotel and recovery.

Another shortcoming in the field of technical and vocational education is that by far the number of engineers has graduated more than the number of graduates. This creates an imbalance, as more manpower is needed down the line. As a result, many polytechnics and Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) are being opened. In addition, care should also be taken to ensure that disadvantaged sections of society, including women are adequately represented in these courts. Therefore, it is expected that technical and vocationaleducation will play an important role in improving people's lives.
